Our aim is to make wines of elegance and finesse that show vineyard expression with minimal winemaking intervention. The fruit was harvested from the Homestead vineyard, whole bunch pressed then fermented in French oak barriques using indigenous yeasts before aging on lees for ten months prior to bottling.
Since planting our first Chardonnay vineyards three decades ago, time, tide and fortune have smiled on Jackson Estate, and the unparalleled affinity between Marlborough and Chardonnay has been spectacularly realised.
The acclaim Jackson Estate Chardonnay generates is based entirely on the merit of our pristine, cool climate vineyards. This single vineyard wine is named for the belt of gum trees that encircle the Jackson Estate Homestead, providing shelter for the fruit trees and the BBQ.
We trust you enjoy this wine as much as we did making it.
